Today was our Tuesday Evangelism Day with the Rio Trio and we decided to venture out to Paqueta, a nearby island in the Guanabara Bay, to share Christ.
On the boat ride to the island, we were blessed to meet a group of 6 students on their way home from school. They get up every day at 4:30 a.m. to ride the 5:30 bus across the bay to school in downtown Rio. Then they return home at 1:30 p.m. and live on this island of 4,500 residents that has no cars other than a few utility trucks and an ambulance.
We shared the EvangeCube with them and had several very good conversations about Christ and making good decisions in life.
They gave us their facebook addresses and want Jeff and I to let them know the next time we are coming out to Paqueta so that we can have a picnic with them!
On the boat ride home, the Rio Trio had a great conversation with a believer named Matteus. Matteus admitted that although his church sometimes evangelized in the streets, he needed to do it more often and was greatly impressed with the EvangeCube.

Please pray that seeds were planted with these young people!
